East Midland Grand Prix Series (EMGP)
The East Midland Grand Prix is a series of 8 
races varying from 5 miles to 10K, taking place on summer evenings at various towns across the Midlands. Each runner’s finishing position is calculated by age category, aggregated, and carried forward to the next race in the series, giving you a points total. Only you best 5 results from the 8 races count towards your final points. You can register for all eight road races in one go (£60 for England Athletics affiliated Members and £70 for unaffiliated runners) by clicking the button below. Alternatively, you can also enter the races individually if you know you might not be able to attend all 8 races.

Northants Road Running League (NRRL)
The Northants Road Running League is a series of 9 races taking place throughout the summer. Several of these races are also part of the EMGP. This set of races finishes with the biggest and best event of the year... that's right, the Daventry 10K.

Running alongside the water, using dam wall pathways and a perimeter service road, you'll find mesmerising views of nature trails, wildlife and boats on the water as you notch up the kilometres.

The TWIN LAKES 20 is a 20-mile race that will prepare you for your Spring Marathon experience. Enjoy the incredibly scenic and superfast course through stunning Buckinghamshire countryside, lapping two beautiful lakes.

The Enervit Peterborough Marathon is an exciting, beautiful & scenic course around the city of Peterborough, including the embankment with the stunning Cathedral backdrop, Nene Park, and the delightful cycle path along the River Nene.

The Silverstone 10k is a unique opportunity to run on this iconic track. The course is fast and flat and its legendary status as one of the great F1 circuits is sure to rev up your running for a potential PB!

Race two of the East Midlands Grand Prix series is a 6 mile route around Rugby. Starting at St. Andrews Rugby Club on Ashlawn Road this run takes you along country lanes and pathways around Rugby.

The Blisworth 5 Mile is the third race of the EMGP series. Race control and parking is at Blisworth Football Ground, just a short 5 minute walk from the start line. Take in the scenic views of this beautiful village as you race around this 5 mile route.

Rock ’n’ Roll Liverpool offer you a choice of 5K, 10K, half marathon or full marathon with the iconic course winding its way around Liverpool City Centre. Starting at Albert Dock, you’ll get to see the Beatles Statue, Penny Lane, Goodison Park and Anfield Stadium. The medals aren’t bad either.

The Banbury 5 is a scenic one-lap course and is part of the East Midlands Grand Prix Series. The route is mostly roads and pavements on the outskirts of Banbury and includes three moderate hills finishing with a reasonably flat mile.

Race 5 of the EMGP series takes us to Corby. Racing along roads, you’ll get off to a flyer with a nice downhill in the first mile, but beware, where there’s a downhill there’s definitely an uphill. There’s a couple of steep inclines during the last couple of miles with the race finishing in East Carlton Country Park.

The MK24 is a unique event held between Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th June over a period of 24 hours. Race on your own or in a team as you try to complete as many laps of this 6.5 mile course around Willen Lake and Campbell Park as you can in 24 hours.

The Harborough 5 Mile is an anticlockwise course around lightly trafficked undulating rural roads. Starting off in a field, you’ll head out on to the roads for the majority of the race, before finishing up with a 400m lap of the field.

Make your own history by taking on the 53-mile route finishing at the awe-inspiring Winchester Cathedral. This award-winning historical trail winds along the spectacular South Downs Way, ending on the steps of Winchester Cathedral, one of the most historically significant buildings in Britain



Race to the King

The penultimate race in the series is just a stones throw away, in Weedon. Not everyone’s favourite route, perhaps because of the fairly big hills involved, but a nice quiet route around the country lanes before heading back into Weedon Village.

Enjoy a traffic free course starting and finishing in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa along side the iconic Royal Pump Room Gardens. The updated course heads north out of Leamington Spa through scenic villages, passing farms and fields in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside.

The final race of the East Midland Grand Prix series is the Milton Keynes 10K. The race starts in a field but after a few hundred metres you’re back onto pavement. The majority of the course is flat with a few ups and downs through subways to avoid the roads.
