The 2021 East Midlands Grand Prix race series consists of 7 road races, all on summer evenings. Unfortunately, the Silverstone 10k will not take place this year as they have not been able to agree a suitable date with the Racing Circuit. The other seven races in the series will be held assuming covid guidelines permit. Each runner’s finishing position is calculated by age category, aggregated, and carried forward to the next race in the series. Only the best 5 results are counted.

Races will be held under secure covid conditions, in line with guidance, including only online entries, with wave starts and chip timing. Entries will be limited to 375 for each race. Unfortunately, to comply with covid rules, races will be more expensive. Each race will cost £15 (£17 unattached) but you can enter the whole series for £91 (£105 unattached), guaranteeing entry to each race. The race guidelines may change if the Runbritain race guidelines are modified.

Should any race be cancelled, runners will be reimbursed 90% of their entry fees for that race.

Runners who entered the series last year and deferred their entry will be able to top this up for an entry into this year’s series.

Prizes are awarded, by the promoting Club on each race night, and for the series after the final race, covering age categories and teams. For this year, no presentations will be made on the night – awards will be posted out afterwards.

Series Team results: Each event organizer can determine his/her prize structure, including team awards. However, for the Grand Prix Series, teams (Men/Vet Men – 4 to score, and Women/Vet Women – 3 to score) must consist of first-claim members of the same England Athletics affiliated club.

Please note: All races start at 7:45pm except Blisworth, which starts at 7:30pm.

Entries to each race will close one week before that race to allow time for numbers to be posted out and waves to be sorted out. You will receive an email with the race briefing and your wave number.
