When did you join Daventry Road Runners?

I joined Daventry Road Runners with a load of friends in 2016, when the club was just starting to grow.

Why did you start running?

I started running after noticing my health wasn't in the best of places and decided I needed to make a change. After being dragged to our local parkrun a few times, I was introduced to the Road Runners at one of the Tuesday/Thursday club sessions.

What is you biggest achievement(s) so far?

My biggest achievements so far are completing the Berlin Marathon in 3:20:35, smashing my previous marathon PB, closely followed by winning the 2020 Enigma "Week at the Knees" seven marathons in seven days, finishing with a lead of over an hour. My average time for the seven marathons across the week was 3:49:00.

Why did you decide to join Daventry Road Runners?

The main reason for becoming a member was to try and improve and progress my running, and continue to become healthier and fitter.

What race would you love to do, that you haven't run yet?

One race that I'd love to do is the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc, a very iconic and brutal mountain race that is highly prolific in the trail and ultra running communities. Perfect bucket list race for me as I'm a sucker for a challenge.
